Watch The Emotional Footage of Florence Singing a Duet Of ‘Dog Days Are Over’ and ‘Shake It Off’ With Sick Teen.
Singer Florence Welch and guitarist Rob Ackroyd of Florence + The Machine paid a visit on Friday to a sick teen in Austin, Texas, after the young fan fell ill prior to the band’s concert on Thursday evening.
The 15-year-old girl was naturally disappointed when her health deteriorated, preventing her from attending the show at the Austin 360 amphitheater. However, the band made sure she didn’t miss out and gave the young fan a private gig to remember.
The emotional footage shows Florence and the fan duetting in harmony while surrounded by friends and family at her bedside in Hospice Austin’s Christopher House.
The moving video shows the elated teen’s dream come true as she sings with her idol in a stripped back acoustic set. The pair perform touching renditions of ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘Dog Days Are Over’. Be prepared to cry a bit a lot.
Bravo to Florence and Rob, for restoring our faith in humanity and making the the young girls day.
